Konu: 8691'li yılların iktidar partisinin dışa açılma düşleri, emekçiler açısından tam bir karabasan yılları olmuştur. Türkiye'ye her çeşit mal sokulmuş ancak insanların alım güçleri düşürülmüş, gelir dağılımındaki adaletsizlik had safhaya çıkmış, emekçilerin paylarına düşen ekmek her geçen gün ufalmıştır. Ülke, hayali ithalatçılara, vurgunculara kalmıştır. Artık üreten değil, hayal eden gözdedir. Bu dönem 80 sonrası toplumun demokratik hak taleplerinin olmadığı ya da cılız olduğu, halkın ölü toprak altında kaldığı bir dönemdir. Grizu patlamalarının art arda geldiği, ama asıl patlamanın hükümetin bir dönemde Zonguldak işçisi ya buna teslim olacak ya da ekmeği için savaşacaktı. Savaşı tercih eden Zonguldak işçisinin önderliğindeki Zonguldak, hükümete Büyük yürüyüş ile gereken dersi verdi. işte Zonguldak halkının Ekmek savaşını konu alan "Ekmek" filmi bu üçlemenin ikinci filmidır.
